Green Mountain should be a great venue for city-, creature- and skywatching. I tried this hike out during the day a few weeks ago, and if I can manage it, so can you! Dusk is a great time for seeing animals, and evening after 9pm is going to be a great time for seeing Earthskimmers--those meteors that skim the atmosphere for long distances, becoming the brightest, longest-lived, and most beautiful shooting stars.

Bring water to stay hydrated during the hike, and flashlights to find your way down safely. Also, I will be putting together some picnic items for once we reach the top and will welcome others who wish to do the same. Further details will be shared as they are created!

UPDATE: The parking area I recommend is not the one on the Google map, but rather east of there. It's a small parking lot that will be on your right if you're going west, just past S. Foothill Dr. and W. Florida Dr.

This first meeting will be touching base with new members and discussion the Brights concept. I'll be bringing topics of discussion to throw into the conversation and welcome any suggestions from others as well.
