“ There are always differences in people's ideas, even if they wear the same lables. To hear from others broadens our minds. It also helps gel our personal ideas that may not be completely developed. ”

“ I don't recommend this group to those seeking intellectual fulfillment or to deeply explore issues of atheism. Also, I don't mean to insult any of the members, but to those who are considering joining - the group is very elderly, with the average age was no lower than in the mid 50's. The group lacks dynamism, focus, and vigor, and certain of the members insist on making unconstructive points and doing so at great length. However, some of these points were brought up and the conduct of the meetings may change as a result. The meeting I attended was during a time of change for the group. ”

“ To socialize and network with other people who lack belief in any god. When you are surrounded by religionists at work or home (or both), it can be fun to blow off a little steam with people who realize what a big sick joke it all is. You can also learn about other similar groups that may be an even better fit for you (perhaps more activist oriented or whatever) by attending this group. ”
