Back by popular demand, more video about Charles Darwin. We continue to celebrate the 200th birthday of the great mind that did more to change our ideas about ourselves than any other scientist in history. Join us for more of the Dawkins video on Darwin plus additional video from "Genius - Charles Darwin." Snacks will accompany the viewing with conversation afterwards. Join us for this fun, interesting and educational event!

It's a great idea for a meetup, but unfortunately I have other plans that night. Hope to make the next one - thanks!

This will be an event shared with the Ethical Culture Society of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area Russell Set. Come and meet some great new people!

We had a great turnout last month with others that couldn't make it asking for another chance. Here is that opportunity. See you on August, 26th at 7 PM!

    •  The Meetup was begun with dessert first, including Paula's vegan apricot-blackeye peas cake. Delicious! The videos inspired lots of discussion. Topics ranged from Darwin's life and work to the militant atheism of Richard Dawkins. Ethics from a freethought perspective also got some attention. People were invited to the monthly (3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:15 at Paula and Ben's) "Ethics for Everyone" discussions.
    •  I can't get enough of science documentaries. If we run out of Darwin, there's also Jared Diamond - good stuff!
